Creating a multi-round event in Live Tourney allows you to organize and manage golf tournaments that span multiple rounds. Whether you're running a stroke play or stableford scoring event, Live Tourney simplifies the process of setting up and tracking multi-round tournaments. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps of creating a multi-round event using Live Tourney's intuitive interface.
Access the Multi Round set up
To begin, log in to your Live Tourney account and navigate to the dashboard. In the dashboard menu, click on "Multi Round" to access the multi-round event creation page.
Step 1: Event Information
In the first step of event creation, you will provide essential event information. Fill out the required fields, including:
- Event Name: Enter a descriptive name for your event.
- Date: Select the starting date of the tournament.
- Scoring Type: Choose between stroke play or stableford scoring.
- Players per Team: Specify the number of players in each team.
You can also configure advanced options, such as enabling ringer (eclectic) event mode or selecting gross-only scoring.
Step 2: Player Details
In the second step, you'll provide player details for the event. You have two options:
- Set Up Registration: Choose whether you want to create a registration portal for the event, allowing participants to register themselves. Learn more about Live Tourney Registration.
- Add Players: Click on "Add Players." You can add players from your roster, by GHIN number (searching through the WHS for GHIN/players), manually with name and handicap, from an existing club, or via a spreadsheet. Once the players are added, you can easily drag and drop to form teams based on the specified number of players per team.
Step 3: Create Rounds

Once you've completed the event setup steps, review the details and ensure everything is accurate. If everything looks good, click "Confirm" to create the event. You'll now see the event in your dashboard, and you can click on its name to access the live scoring leaderboard.
