Edit Teams

Delete, edit, and add players and teams

Overview

Edit Teams is a useful tool to bring in or delete players from an event. This article will describe functionality and help orient the user.

Getting Started

To edit players and teams, you must finish the event setup process, then select the event dropdown “…” ellipsis located to the right of the event name in the main dashboard. This button will give you an assortment of options to manage and modify your event.

Adding New Players

Within Edit Teams, you will be able to modify your previously created event information in the below ways. By selecting + Add Team, you will be prompted to search or add players in the following ways:

  1. Roster: Leverage your existing roster to add new players to your event
  1. Manual: Manually add players including name, email, and handicap
  1. WHS: Search players by specifying first/last name and state
  1. Clubs: Search from an existing club

Once players are added, you will be prompted to attach them to an existing tee time.

Edit or Delete Existing Teams

  • Edit Teams: By selecting the edit button next to a player in your roster, you will be provided the option to edit individual names, GHIN numbers, indexes, or team names.
  • Delete Teams: By selecting delete teams, you will remove the team or player from your event roster.

  • Swap: Switch players between or within teams.
  • Edit Team Name: By selecting the “edit all” button, you are able to quickly modify team names.

Advanced Options

  • Auto Assign Team Names will attempt to assign a team name based your clubs in your roster. If a team has more than half of its players in a club, and more than half of the club is on the team, it will take the clubs name.
  • Reset all Team Names will revert team names back to the last name of each player on the team.
  • Export Event Roster will download an spreadsheet of of your roster for the event. This is useful if you need to upload this exact roster into a new event.

Now that you have the correct players and teams in your event, ensure pairings and handicaps are appropriately set.
