Overview
Update Points & Payouts allows you to calculate earnings from an event in the form of main event purses, skins (gross & net), and deuces (gross & net).
Getting Started
To access Update Points and Payouts, you must finish the event setup process, then select the event dropdown ellipsis (…) located to the right of your event name in the main dashboard. This button will offer an assortment of options to manage and modify your event.
Specifying Main Event Points/Payout
To calculate payouts for your main event, type in the purse amount, then specify % or $ winnings based on finish. Additional options include:
- Specifying scorecard tie breaker vs retaining ties
- Rounding down to full dollar vs no rounding
- Net vs gross preference: In the event a player wins both net and gross, this will dictate which will take precedent.
- Inputting dollar amount vs percent of total purse
- Save payout specifications as templates so they can be reused later on
Specifying Skins & Deuces Points/Payout
You will also have the option to calculate gross and net skins and deuces by plugging in a purse size and specifying the value of each skin or deuce. Additional options include:
- Rounding the output down to the nearest whole dollar
- Add skins/deuce payout to main event payout: This will update the main leaderboard with skins/deuces earnings and is only recommended for true skins/deuces events where the actual payout for the event is skins/deuces only. Otherwise, we recommend leaving this unchecked.
- Calculate skins results based on flight.
Points/Payout Output
When you update the points and payouts, results will be shown in a few different places. From an admin perspective, there is a table in “Update Points and Payouts” which will render the results of your previous inputs.
Depending on what was updated, results will also be shown in the live leaderboard in two areas.
- Main leaderboard: Accessible via the event leaderboard.
- Skins leaderboard: Accessible via the top right drop down menu on mobile view for players in the event page.
