Automatons allow Live Tourney admins to automatically create and schedule registration events and corresponding email sequences around those events. For example, this feature would be useful for a course who runs a regularly scheduled league event, but does not want to manually create weekly registration events or send emails. Now, with automations, this entire workflow can be programatic.

The first stage of creating an automation is defining automation itself so the user can understand its purpose and name. In the below example, dynamic fields are modifying the name of my automation based on the “day of week” it will run.

Next, you will be prompted to create and define your automated registration event.

Begin by attaching an event template from a previously created event, then define the cadence around when events are automatically created.

Modify the event by specifying registration open & close windows, or attaching them to league standings.

Last, you will be able to create email sequences around your automated event creation. This feature will leverage previously saved email templates. These templates can be saved while you create emails in the … event management dropdown under the email option.

Once templates have been created, the user can define which template should be used, who should be the audience for the email, and what cadence it should be sent with respect to the registration event.

Multiple emails can be automated around the event.

From the automations button in the dashboard, the user is able to see, edit, or pause previously. There is event a calendar view visually representing the schedule of your automation.
